Officer Vic Ortiz began his career with the Long Beach Police Department in 2001. He joined the K9 unit in 2005. His partner, Mors, is trained to assist in the arrest of dangerous criminals.

Officer Ed Moscoso was born and raised in the Southern California area. Ed joined the Long Beach Police Department in 2003 and served as a field training officer in the south division. Ed was then assigned to the Motor detail for 8 years until being selected for the K-9 unit in 2016. Ed is currently assigned as the head trainer for the unit and deploys with Odin, a patrol / SWAT dog.

Officer Jason Wood began his career with the Long Beach Police Department in 2006. He joined the K9 unit in 2016.

Officer Harrison Moore began his career with the Long Beach Police Department in 2009. He joined the canine unit in 2017.

Officer: Sandoval | Patrol K9: Jagger | Detection K9: Lobo
Officer Yvette Sandoval began her career with the Long Beach Police Department in 2014. She joined the K9 unit in 2023. Officer Sandoval graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Public Administration. Officer Sandoval has worked patrol as a Field Training Officer and most recently worked at the academy as a Recruit Training Officer.

Officer Alejandro Ramirez was born in raised in Long Beach and started his career with the Long Beach police department in August of 2018. Alejandro has had the opportunity to work in all four patrol divisions. He joined the K9 unit in 2023.
